What Are The Best Tool Brands?

My 3 Go-To Tool Brands

Novices and experienced tradesmen and women have no doubt been in the situation of wanting to buy some new tools but have found themselves wondering, just what are the best tool brands? The answer to this will vary from person to person, for instance, some people might think that a drill that costs $400 might be the best, simply because it is so expensive whilst other people might be of the opinion that a brand that has been around for 100 years might be better simply because of the experience of the company.

It can all be a bit confusing with the myriad of brands available - especially with new brands and technologies being released at a rate faster than ever before.

In saying all that, there are some brands which have stood the test of time and become universally accepted as being the best brands of tools available.

Dewalt. Dewalt tools are instantly recognizable by their bright yellow coloring and logo. They have been around since 1924 and currently have a massive range of over 200 different power tools and 800 accessories. Dewalt have also recently started manufacturing small hand tools such as knives, levels, punches, pliers, chisels and saws. With that in mind, it's easy to see that they really do cater to every trades-person and you would have no problem filling your whole tool box with just dewalt tools.

Milwaulkee. Milwaulkee are another brand that was surprisingly founded in 1924 - that must have been the year for great tool brands to be born. Milwaulkee are known mostly for their great quality cordless drills, grinders and saws. They do have a limited range of hand tools available, but these seem have taken the back seat compared to their power tools. You will also find that they have a great range of heated, yes heated, clothing on the market. The clothing is run by their rechargeable batteries and definitely take the edge off on a chilly winters morning!

Bahco. Bahco is the oldest tool brand on my list, with it's beginnings all the way back in Sweden in 1886. The fact they have been around so long is a testament to their quality. Bacho are renowned for their very high quality hand tools, and are most widely recognized for inventing the adjustable wrench and the plumbers wrench. Although they don't manufacture power tools, they boast a massive 7000+ different hand tools. When you have that many different products, and have been around for well over 100 years, you know you must be doing something right.

These are my top 3 tools brands. So next time you're looking to purchase some tools and you're asking yourself, what are the best tool brands? be sure to have a look and see if you can find the tool you need in these brands.
